About OPRS:  False Claims Act

MPSS/OPRS/OPRSF and Affiliated Organizations False Claims Policy

Pursuant to the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, MPSS and its affiliated organizations, including OPRS and SI (collectively referred to as "MPSS"), have established a False Claims Policy which provides detailed information about the federal False Claims Act; Ohio laws pertaining to civil or criminal penalties for false claims and statements; the Federal Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986; and detailed provisions regarding its policies and procedures for detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse.

This False Claims Policy applies to all MPSS employees and all contractors and agents who have contact with MPSS related to the delivery of Medicare and Medicaid healthcare items or services, billing or coding functions, or who are involved in the monitoring of healthcare provided by MPSS.

In an effort to educate and inform all of its contractors and agents, MPSS has posted its False Claims Policy below.
