About Lake Vista

Lake Vista of Cortland is a community of two- and three- bedroom villa homes, a clubhouse, an assisted living and independent apartment building, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

A simple philosophy is behind the creation of Lake Vista. It is a concept that allows an individual to plan for the future while enjoying a lifestyle of freedom and independence.

The philosophy has guided every step in the development of Lake Vista. It provides you the privacy of your own independent villa or apartment along with the freedom from everyday hassles such as lawn care, home maintenance and repairs, and snow removal - and if the need should ever arise, you have the added security of knowing that personal services such as on-site home care and assisted living, along with skilled nursing and rehabilitation are available.

Our Mission is to provide older adults with caring and quality services toward the enhancement of physical, mental and spiritual well-being consistent with the Christian Gospel.

Though the sun doesn't shine every day here in northeastern Ohio , the beauty of the Lake Vista campus shines through whatever the weather!

Residents at Lake Vista can walk along our walking trails to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and beautiful scenery. In addition to our 25-acre campus, residents can walk along our trail which connects with Turkey Run Trail in Mosquito Creek State Park . The state park offers wonderful wild life and foliage and access to Mosquito Lake from the state park path. A beauty no matter what the season!

Residents can take advantage of our "any weather" exercise room - no need to worry about rain or snow when there are treadmills, reclining steppers and bicycles indoors! All of the equipment is specially designed to reduce stress on knees and joints.

In the warm weather, the Pavilion has become a popular spot for an impromptu gathering for residents. It also is a great gathering place for picnics, brown-bag lunches, band concerts and just general old-fashioned neighborhood chitchat. In winter it is a beautiful part of the natural landscape.

Members of the Lake Vista band practice for an upcoming performance. The band has entertained at resident Christmas parties and other events - a great accompaniment and backdrop for some rousing caroling!
