Home Care Options:  Home Health Care

Since 1947, Park Vista Retirement Community has been serving older adults with high-quality, professional services. These same caring services are now available to older adults living in their own homes through Senior Independence. Our goal is to maximize the dignity, independence and quality of life for older adults.

Home Health Services Available:

  • Skilled nursing
  • I.V. therapy
  • Home health aides
  • Physical, speech and occupational therapies
  • Medical social services

Automatic Medication Dispenser
Keeping up with a number of prescriptions can be a real challenge for some seniors. Our medication dispenser is a reminder system that automatically dispenses medication in accordance with prescribed treatment pans. It is unobtrusive in the home and can be taken with you.

How to arrange for Home Health Services...

To arrange for an in-home evaluation, call Senior Independence Home Health (see numbers below). Your first visit will be from a registered nurse who will do a comprehensive evaluation of your health care needs and will work with you to develop your personal plan of care. You will receive assistance with determining which services meet Medicare criteria.

Fees for services...

Senior Independence Home Health program is Medicare & Medicaid certified which means that we can bill Medicare or Medicaid directly for any service that qualifies. Many services are covered by private insurance. We will also bill privately for your services. American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover card payments are accepted.

Senior Independence Home Care

Senior Independence Home Care provides services to maximize the dignity, independence and quality of life for older adults.

We serve primarily older adults, over the age of 60, who are living in the Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County areas. Our employees are bonded, mature and dependable people. Our personal caregivers are state-approved nursing assistants. They are chosen for their personal qualities of caring, compassion and dependability. They participate in an ongoing, comprehensive training program. This enables us to provide you with the quality of care you have come to expect from Park Vista Retirement Community and Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS).

Senior Independence Home Care Services:

Personal Care
We provide assistance with bathing, dressing and prescribed exercises.

Homemaker
General household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.

Companionship
Planned activities, supervision or companionship. Planned activities may include a shopping trip, a ride in the park, or a visit with a friend.

Errands
Our Staff will run errands for you such as going to the post office, grocery store or pharmacy.

Transportation
We provide transportation for you to medical appointments, the beautician, barbershop, marketing trips and more.

Lifeline
Help is just one press of a button away when older adults living alone in their homes use the Lifeline service. The lightweight, waterproof button that is worn like a pendant, when pressed activates a small in-home unit that puts the person immediately in touch with a caring Lifeline Monitor who finds out what kind of help is needed.
