A variety of programs take place on and
off of Westminster-Thurber's campus.
Regularly scheduled activities and
special programs offer
Westminster-Thurber residents many
choices for things to do. Some of the
programs include:
Educational Offerings
The Ohio State University is just one of
the area universities and colleges that
bring programming to
Westminster-Thurber's campus, as well as
offering their own on-site program for
older adults. The OWLS program offers
college level courses throughout the
month of October each year. Community
leaders are regular visitors updating
our residents on city, state and
national events. A fully equipped
computer room with instructional classes
provides residents with easy access to
the internet and other computer
programs.
Health and Fitness Programs
Resources and classes are available for
residents. Basic and advanced exercise
classes are held six times a week and a
fully equipped exercise room is open
24-hours a-day. The rooftop swimming
pool is open to all residents and their
families throughout the summer season.
Summer water aerobics classes are
offered. Guest speakers from local
hospitals and universities, as well as
Westminster-Thurber's own health care
professionals, provide an array of
presentations and topics related to
health and wellness.
Other Amenities and Programs
Westminster-Thurber offers a craft room,
woodworking shop and two libraries. Each
of these recreational areas is open to
all residents. In addition, a full
calendar of events features many
opportunities for social interaction.
The Victorian Room offers
restaurant-style dining for residents
and their guests.
