The Senior Independence Adult
Day Program is a community-based program
at Westminster-Thurber that offers
support and a break for caregivers while
reassuring them that their loved ones
will be well cared for and enjoy
themselves.
Services are available Monday through
Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The adult day program offers the
following services:
- Personal care (e.g. bathing and
feeding)
- Nursing care and assessment
- Nutrition (noon meal, morning
and afternoon snacks)
- Social services & counseling
- Therapeutic activities
- Rehabilitation therapies
- Emergency care and health
related services
- Transportation
To participate in adult day service,
an individual must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Need intermittent supervision
- Have physical and/or mental
impairment
- Be able to walk or transfer from
a wheelchair with assistance of one
person
- Have a primary care (family)
physician
- Have an identifiable caregiver
- Be non aggressive or abusive to
others
